Step 1: Where is the event coming from?
If it’s an event generated by one of our out-of-the-box integrations, we use types that exactly say what happens within your application, e.g. “Contact updated” or “Meeting scheduled”. This is pretty straightforward. If you’re using our inbound email channel (via JSON), we’ll use the subject and/or content of the message we’ve received to translate it into an event type.
Step 2: What does the subject or content of the inbound message say?
The subject or content of the inbound message gives you an explanation of the trigger that has been performed after an action, e.g. add a candidate or client whenever an appointment type, candidate status, client status, placement status, task type or vacancy status is changed. In the events tab, you can find all the events statuses. In the inbox, you can find the explanation of a status. For instance: "invitee created".
Step 3: Which event type matches found word(s) best?
Below you will find an overview of all events translations. The words/phrases can be seen as capitalized and uncapitalized. Also, the system always checks the first word and from there the event translation can already be given.
