There are multiple ways of adding contacts to your smart groups. For instance, you can easily add contacts via your mobile device, email app or calendar. This article explains how to do this easily.
1. Via your address book - e.g. Apple iPad/iPhone, Samsung Android
You can add contacts to a smart group via your address book, by sending a vCard to the email address (group ID) of that smart group. The vCard needs to contain at least the name and email address of the contact you want to add.
Every smart group has its own email address, which you can find in the overview of all smart groups:
You can add this email address with group ID to your contacts, to add a contact even easier. Name the contact for instance Meetings w/ Ratecard.
Go to your address book on your mobile device, select a contact and share this contact via email. The contact file (.vcf) will be added as an attachment automatically. Send the contact to the email address of your smart group. The contact in the attachment will then be automatically added to the smart group you send the email to.
2. Via your email app - e.g. Apple Mail, Gmail, Microsoft Outlook
Another option is to CC the email address of the smart group in an email you're sending to the contact you want to add. Don't use BCC, because this does not always work correctly.
3. Via your calendar app - e.g. Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar
Ratecard can connect with your calendar. This is very convenient if you want to ask for feedback after an appointment with someone.
If you add an item to your (i.e. Google) calendar, you can invite the email address that belongs to the smart group you use and also invite the contact you're going to meet and you want to send a feedback request to.
You can also add more than one contact: all invitees will be added to your smart group and will receive a feedback request.
How to automatically send a feedback request after an appointment with someone?
When you create a campaign, you can choose if you want to connect the campaign to an appointment date and time, so your contact automatically receives a feedback request x hours after your appointment. Read here how to do this.
